#FightingGameMonth 2020 began for many with a free trial of Pokken Tournament DX. @SMD_Youtube, @daswhalebeard, @apricotsushi, @captain_N64, @bunnycartoon, and @mdiskplaylist all took advantage of the free trial and had some fun with it. We were even graced with a video presentation of @SMD_Youtube's experience with the game.

@cursedblessing cleverly thought outside the box for #FightingGameMonth with his playthrough of The Bouncer, followed by a playthrough of Falcom's own Dissidia-like game with Ys vs. Sora no Kiseki: Alternative Saga....would the latter have also counted as a #JRPGJuly game?

Pokken Tournament DX wasn't the only fighting game to offer a free trial during #FightingGameMonth. A free trial of Street Fighter V: Championship Edition was offered, and played by @mdiskplaylist. There were some restrictions on all the offline stuff, but he still had fun. He may even download the base Street Fighter V, which will be offered as one of next months' free PS Plus games. Hint hint.

But unlike Pokken Tournament DX or Street Fighter V, there was a period when Injustice: Gods Among Us Ultimate Edition was given away for free. No strings attached. It was the #FightingGameMonth theme that motivated @mdiskplaylist, @captain_N64, and @OhaiKrikket to try the game. @OhaiKrikket @captain_N64 even wrote about her experiences with the game on her Nerd Girl Thoughts blog. even found some time for the game's sequel for #FightingGameMonth.
@CuttyFlamLTD represented #FightingGameMonth with video presentations of Fantasy Strike, and Under Night In-Birth Exe: Latest. Between @SMD_Youtube and @CuttyFlamLTD it's really nice to see more videos being made for the #communitygamealong!

For his Gauntlet series, @mdiskplaylist played through the super story mode of the PlayStation JoJo's Bizarre Adventue. In his spare time, he attempted to go through the arcade modes of select Street Fighter games. He only had time for Street Fighter II' Turbo Hyper Fighting, Super Street Fighter II: The New Challengers, and Street Fighter Alpha 2 beating all three as Balrog, Vega, and Zangeif respectively. He also played through some Tekken 7 as well.

@capsulejay played through BlazBlue: Calamity Trigger, and hosted the Geek to Geek Media Discord's latest tournament for Nidhogg 2. The tournament was fierce, and full of bloodshed. But in the end, it was @mdiskplaylist who walked away as the league's triple crown champion!

@ZumoDinero tagged #FightingGameMonth to show off an amazing display of emerging victorious when all hope seems lost.
But perhaps the biggest MVP of the month goes to @daswhalebeard, who in addition to the games already mentioned above, took this month and plowed through as many fighting games as he could in one month. Below are the games he has either conquered, or attempted to conquer.
