@cursedblessing of the blog zuckerl & zynismen, who last year declared Otome games as "handsome boy temptation simulations" was ready for this month. Last year, he got four games in, and this year proved no different. For this year's edition of #DatingSiMonth, he picked imports Dōkyūsei 2, and Tokimeki Memorial 3. He also played a very unique take on the genre, Kill Your Dates: A Horror Dating Sim, and the fairly recently released Monster Prom sequel, Monster Prom 2: Monster Camp.
@bunnycartoon of the Anime Nostalgia Podcast is experiencing the joys(?) of being with the Blue Lion class in Fire Emblem: Three Houses, after mingling with the Golden Deer class last year. She has not yet finished, but she remains determined to see the Blue Lions path all the way through.
@OhaiKrikket of Nerd Girl Thoughts never disappoints with her picks for Community Game-Along events such as this one, with selections like Best Friend Forever, and Kitty Powers' Matchmaker. Check out the reviews of both games on her blog here and here.
@mdiskplaylist played through two games this month. The first, in his spare time, Hades. It counts as a dating sim since you can hook up with a death bringer, a torturer, and cleaning head. Perfect choices, right? Also, he played through Starlight Shores (which was recorded for his Gauntlet series), a game full of fun and emotional gut punches. He also enticed @capsulejay into playing Starlight Shores as well. It was recently announced that Starlight Shores will be coming to Steam this spring. So check out their page, and if you're interested, add it to your wishlist.
Speaking of @capsulejay, he started by carrying over the progress he made in Catherine during #PuzzleGameMonth. After finishing, and humoring one Nitro with his playthrough of Starlight Shores, he played through Collar X Malice (which was also played by @minbento1), Dream Daddy: A Dad Dating Simulator, and Gun Gal: Double Peace. A nice mix of traditional dating sim with a dash of genre blending.
@SetosSweetHome also took full advantage of this theme, playing through Code Realize: Guardian of Rebirth, Syrup and the Ultimate Sweet, and even getting a platinum trophy in the game Blind Men! Congratulations!
Instagram user @jpg168 both posted about, and came up with an AESTHETIC SHOT as part of her declaration to support the games Harukanaru Toki no Naka de 7, and Birushana Senki.
Finally, Community Game-Along founder and the originator of the #DatingSiMonth theme, @apricotsushi, started streaming Taisho X Alice on Twitch, and uploaded archives of her stream to her YouTube channel! Watch her progress so far below!
