First introduced into the Community Game-Along by @apricotsushi and @daswhalebeard in 2014, now brought back to the Community Game-Along in 2021 by @capsulejay. With over 70 different games, plus multiple videos and blogs, it is very clear that Shmuptember is worthy of being a permanent addition to the Community Game-Along calendar.
As you can see below; 15 participants. But within those 15 participants lies one of the largest collection of support of a genre the Community Game-Along has seen! Including a possible record breaking # of games played by @thetruekingofs1.
It certainly goes without saying, Shmups are here to stay. Shmups may be an endurance, a test of reflexes, or both. But the overall experience of shmups resonates with everything the community game-along stands for; Fun, excitement, and network building. Please have a look at this month's Shmuptember supporters, and continue to support their endeavors, or befriend them, or give them likes/subscribes, or to bond over similar interests in Shmups!
